The Student Leadership Council (SLC) consists of representatives of the EERI student chapters throughout the country. During the summer of 2008, the SLC, which was formerly associated with the Pacific Earthquake Engineering Research Center (PEER), officially became part of EERI.

The 2012 Seismic Design Competition will take place during the 2012 EERI Annual Meeting, which will be held April 10-14 at the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee.

Schools must have an EERI student chapter to be eligible for the competition. (How to Start an EERI Student Chapter)
